Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of DRB is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. DRB members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Music Ministry

We are currently in need of a music director! If you have a passion for signing, please contact us right away. Our worship usually includes modern praise songs and classic hymns, and we have a lot of talented musicians in our congregation. They just need someone to take charge. Could that be you?

Church Cleaning

Keeping our building neat and tidy is an nonstop job! Sign up with your family or friends before our Sunday service and do the work at your convenience. A task list is available on request, and a sign up calendar is posted in the hall by the office. This is a great job for all ages and ability levels!

Van Ministry

We have a high demand for pickups around the Zanesville area on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. If you have a good driving record and are familiar with the city, we could use your help to make sure everyone gets to church.

Mowing & Yard Maintenance

Our property and building make a first impression on every person who passes by. Every little bit of help goes a long way to keep things clean and looking great. From cleaning to weekly mowing and weed trimming, there is a lot to get done, but many hands make the job easier.

The usher team fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free.

Nursery & Toddlers

The smallest members of our church family are very important! Having childcare during our services is an important ministry to allow parents to worship and get a much needed break. With more volunteers in rotation we can make sure everyone gets to be a part of our services.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, DRB holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles, and allows parents to focus on the sermon. Curriculum is available to make teaching fun and simple.
All volunteers for Children’s Church, Sunday School, VBS, and Nursery & Toddler rooms are screened and approved through Shepherd’s Watch background checks.
